It is a pleasure to welcome you to our school website.  It is my hope that through these pages we are able to share with you some of the many things which we believe make Hilltop First School a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Hilltop First school, built in 1961, is a community First School with a Foundation Stage catering for children from Nursery to Year 4.  We have an admission number of 45 children per year group.  The school consists of 9 classes which are divided into 3 teams of 3 classes each. The teams and classes are as follows:

Team Woodland (Foundation Stage) Foxglove, Snowdrop and Primrose classes

Team Parkland (Key Stage 1, Years 1 & 2) Chestnut, Hazel and Alder classes

Team Heathland (Key Stage 2, Years 3 & 4) Heather, Sundew and Bracken classes

I am proud of our dedicated team of staff who really do put the children first every day.   Our pupils enjoy learning and their confidence is nurtured through an exciting and well structured curriculum.  Teachers collaborate within each key stage to plan creative and memorable experiences which support real learning. We encourage pupils to reflect on their learning and understand that this is a 'forever' journey.  Our vision is for every child to experience success and we celebrate achievements and progress in all areas.

Hilltop is an inclusive school and we are proud to have been recognised as the Most Caring school in RBWM (2020) and have met the RBWM Inclusion Mark criteria.  We highly value the contribution that parents and carers make to the growth and learning of their children and are explore ways in which we can further our partnership with parents across the school.
